The Daring Way

What is The Daring Way™?

I'm a Daring Way™ facilitator - passionate about the work of Dr. Brené Brown.

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was developed to help men, women, and adolescents learn how to show up, be seen, and live braver lives.

The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing a courage practice that transforms the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

We will explore topics such as: vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness.

We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living.

Groups consist of up to 8 participants and meet weekly for 2.5 hours over the course of 8 weeks – or as a 2-day weekend intensive workshop. Both formats allow you to develop trust and connect within the group, creating a safe space to practice vulnerability.

Each session includes new concepts, tools and interactive exercises to bring the content alive and allow you to move beyond just understanding the material to applying Brené’s research to how you live and connect with others in your every day life.

The Daring Way™ will help you to:

Deepen your relationships, cultivate intimacy and connection, develop courage and embrace your vulnerability. It includes to let go of fears that are holding you back, understand (and drop) your need for perfectionism.

You will practice compassion and empathy to deepen your connection to others and increase your capacity to experience joy, contentment, stillness and creativity, and embrace the power of your own life story.

"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it.  Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy - the experiences that make us the most vulnerable.  Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."
